The Executives of Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria, Rivers State University Student Chapter visited Marana Global on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 to discuss the progress of the student chapter.

In their meeting with ISPON Rivers State Student Coordinator, Mr. Fasusi Yinka, the students gave reports of their activities following their induction last January. The chapter was founded by Mr. Fasusi, working with Prof. F.B. Sighalo (applied physics, RSU) and was officially inaugurated by ISPON President (Dr. Nnamdi Ilodiuba), National Student Coordinator (Dr. Dike Martins), immediate past Vice Chancellor of RSU (Prof. Blessing Dibia) and other officials on January 23, 2019 at the Vice Chancellor's Conference Hall in Rivers State University.

Among other resolutions, the student Executives whose tenures have also elapsed was dissolved and a caretaker committee of three members was set up to oversee the chapter pending the inauguration of new leaders.
