1I heard there is a faction in ISPON, how do I know the right body?
It is true that there is a crisis in the Institute. However, be assured that ISPON is managing the process. The Federal High Court in Owerri in 2017 ruled over the issue and declared that Dr. Nnamdi Ilodiuba is the President of the Institute. The court also confirmed the Governing Board led by Dr. Nnamdi as the legal one. The official website of the Institute is www.ispon.gov.ng

3I have been selected for the HSE Scholarship, what should I do next?
Congratulations on your selection. Now, you should proceed to confirm your selection by paying the part payment of N40,000 as stated in the scholarship.
After this, you will be invited to the scholarship orientation exercise.
4What does the scholarship cover?
The scholarship allows you to pay 40% of the cost for your training and membership with ISPON, while the 60% is waived by the sponsors.
The scholarship will cover:
1. General Health, Safety and Environment (General HSE) training and certification by Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON).
2. HSE Level 3 training and certification.
3. Membership registration with Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria.
5What should I expect at the orientation exercise?
The orientation will provide more information and guidance to participants who have been selected to benefit in the HSE Professional Development Scholarship. Necessary information regarding training and ISPON membership for selected scholarship beneficiaries, as well as other important issues will be discussed.
6Who are the guests in the orientation?
The orientation will be attended by Dr. Nnamdi Ilodiuba - President of ISPON (www.ispon.gov.ng), Dr. Dike Martins - Coordinator, ISPON Imo State Branch, Engr. Timothy Iwuagwu- ISPON National Spokesperson, Mr. Henry Uzoma - ISPON Imo Branch Admin, Mr. Fasusi Olayinka- Scholarship Coordinator (Marana Global) and other invited guests.
7Can anyone attend the orientation?
No, the event participation is strictly by invitation. Only those who were selected for the scholarship, and who have completed the required processes before the deadline will be allowed to participate.
8Who are the organisers?
The exercise is organised by Marana Global Services Ltd, African Group on Environment and Human Development and Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria.
9What if I am no longer interested in the scholarship after my selection?
If you no longer wish to participate in the scholarship after you have been selected, you are not required to take any action. Simply ignore the email notification you received for your nomination. All those who fail to complete their processes before August 15 will be assumed to have declined the scholarship nomination.
10How can I participate in the orientation exercise?
The event is online in our virtual platform. The link will be sent to you when you confirm your scholarship nomination.
11When is the scholarship training commencing and where will the training hold?
The date of the training will be announced at the orientation exercise.
Training will hold online and in our virtual platform. Participants can attend from any location across the country.
12When is membership induction for the scholarship participants?
The membership induction for successful scholarship participants will hold before ISPON 2021 Annual Conference. Induction date will be announced at the orientation.
13Which certificate will I get after the training?
You will get certificates issued by the Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria.
14Is the scholarship approved by ISPON?

15I already have ISPON General HSE certificate. Can I still participate in the scholarship?
Yes, you can still participate if you have been selected. During the training, you will be allowed to tae only the HSE :Level 3 topics and do the assessment.
16Will the training be online, or how can I participate from my location?
The training is fully online using our training portal and virtual classroom. You can participate from anywhere in Nigeria.
You do not need a laptop for this. Your smart phone is enough and the portal is fully compatible with mobile devises.
17Will there be another edition of the scholarship?
We cannot confirm at the moment. This is subject to consideration by the sponsors.
If there is another edition, it will be announced.
18How will I get my certificates?
Your training and membership certificates will be sent to you by courier services.
Please ensure that your address is clearly stated.
19How will I get my payment receipt after making the discounted payment?
Once you make payment, we will process and issue you an electronic receipt. The receipt will be sent to your email address. However you can always download it when you log into your user account: https://maranaglobal.com/my-account
